Anders attended the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and graduated in 2013, receiving his Juris Doctor. He was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2014. Prior to law school, Anders worked in publishing and information management, including as a business analyst at the New Zealand Parliamentary Service.
Anders’ practice focuses on business law and real estate development, including land assembly, financing and development, municipal and planning law, leasing, and corporate law. Anders assists developers, builders, and businesses throughout the land development process, whether structuring transactions, guiding through planning approvals and agreements, or appealing to tribunals, committees and boards. Anders has appeared before the OMB, ARB, Committee of Adjustment, and Ontario Court of Justice in respect of municipal and planning law matters.
While in law school, Anders volunteered at the Hamilton Downtown Legal Aid clinic, assisting with WSIB cases, landlord tenant disputes, and policy research. He has been an active participant in a number of community organizations. As a lifelong Hamiltonian Anders is excited about the future and potential of the city and region.
