AREAS OF EXPERTISE

Angela is an associate at SIMPSONWIGLE LAW. Her practice includes wills, trusts, estate planning and administration, estate disputes, incapacity challenges and defense, guardianship applications and passing of accounts.

Prior to joining SIMPSONWIGLE, Angela was an associate lawyer in a small boutique practice that focused on wills, estate planning and administration, estate litigation, real estate, and commercial transactions. This diverse background provides Angela with an understanding of many areas of the law, and how they intersect and need to be considered in advising clients.

A COMFORTING, SUPPORTIVE APPROACH

"Dying is more complex than one expects. On the practical side we must deal with financial holdings and legal requirements. The other aspect is family dynamics and generational succession. I work hand-in-hand with clients to ensure that their estate is planned in an advantageous manner, all issues are considered and goals are reached  while providing security and peace of mind.”

WHAT SETS ANGELA APART

"I strive to clearly communicate with my clients and ensure that we understand each other. What we do is an art, not math. There is an emotional side to every situation, separate from the law. I try to enable my clients with responsibility and control so that they can contribute to their resolution.”

THE BEST PART OF THE JOB

“I meet people at vulnerable moments in their lives. I am successful when I can provide them with comfort and security, knowing that their families will be cared for and assets properly distributed after their death.

In her spare time, Angela enjoys exploring Hamilton’s ever evolving restaurant industry, and running throughout the Bruce Trails with her dog, Handsome Jack.
