About Elise J. Harrington

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

Elise is an Associate at SimpsonWigle LAW. Her practice focuses on estate planning and estate administration. She assists clients with preparing estate plans, drafting wills and powers of attorney, preparing probate applications, and assisting with the administration of estates

A CREATIVE, COMPASSIONATE APPROACH

“Dealing with and contemplating death is not fun. I strive to make the process as painless as possible and ensure my clients feel heard and understood.”

WHAT SETS ELISE APART

Prior to joining SIMPSONWIGLE LAW, Elise worked at a boutique estates firm in Oakville where she gained experience in estate planning, estate administration, and estate litigation. She has seen the issues that can arise when an estate plan is not clear or does not consider family dynamics and when an attorney or estate trustee does not manage affairs properly. This experience is the foundation of a comprehensive approach to practice when advising clients in creating an estate plan.

BEST PART OF THE JOB

On more than one occasion clients have come to me with their current estate planning documents and do not understand what they say or mean. I enjoy helping clients achieve their goals and educating them, so they understand what they are doing. I want my clients to feel empowered and know they are making informed decisions.
