Litigation Law Clerk

SimpsonWigle LAW LLP is currently seeking to hire a Litigation Law Clerk.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Assembling Affidavit of Documents
  • Preparing Undertakings and Refusal Charts
  • Preparing Motions for answers to Undertakings and Refusals
  • Trial preparation
  • Document management
  • eDiscovery management
  • Document brief and trial brief preparation
  • Liase with court staff regarding motion scheduling
  • Experience utilizing JSO portal, proficient with Caselines and ACL 

Required experience/qualifications:

  • Completion of the Law Clerk Program
  • 5-8 years of litigation experience
  • A solid knowledge of legal office practice, legal terminology and procedure relating to legal correspondence and legal documents
  • Knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Exhibit excellent commitment to client service and the maintenance of client confidentiality
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, resourceful and capable of working independently, as well with a number of individuals in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to exercise good judgment
  • Experience in Construction Litigation, GhostPractice and iManage would be an asset
